The second round of Economic Impact Payments will be available soon.

On December 27, 2020, President Trump signed the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021, which includes a second round of Economic Impact Payments (stimulus payments) for eligible Americans. According to the IRS, the first official payment date is January 4, 2021.

Most recipients will receive their stimulus payment by direct deposit, and there is no action required. Payment will be credited to the designated account on the effective date provided by the IRS. For those without current direct deposit information on file with the IRS, payment will be sent as a check or debit card in the mail.

You will be able to check the status of your payment and confirm your payment type using the “Get My Payment” tool available on IRS.gov. This tool is currently being updated and should be available soon. For additional details from the IRS, please click here.
