HELPING HAND SUNDAY

Give a hand up not just a hand out!

Helping Hand Sunday is your day to share with your church about adults within our community that are trapped in the cycle of poverty. Let us show you how we can break the cycle of poverty in our town. This program not only provides you with a free Sunday Service program, it will give the people in your church a way to live out their faith – by lending to the Lord.

“Caring for the poor is lending to the LORD, and you will be well repaid.” – Proverbs 19:17, CEV

We Can Make A Difference

ONE IN EVERY THREE PEOPLE IN NACOGDOCHES ARE LIVING IN POVERTY. THEY ALL NEED A HAND UP.

And you can be the one to offer them a Hand Up.

In the time it takes to do one Service, your church can make a difference in this community. It can help a neighbor and become a vital part of a movement that restores the Biblical value of work and provides much needed job skills to displaced workers caught in the cycle of poverty.

This is more than hand outs this is Life Change.

When you plan to host an event you make a decision that can absolutely change the life of an individual. This is a generational ministry that releases entire families from the cycle of poverty in Jesus’ name. It gives them back their voice and gives them the opportunity to make a living wage. It is great that we provide food and clothing to the poor, but this is a quick fix not a longterm solution. People need a hand up, not just more handouts. Helping people gain job skills allows people to begin to provide for themselves and their families. All you have to do is say “Yes!”

Thank you to the churches who support us – we couldn’t do what we do without you! We are so grateful to be part of the Body of Christ!
