Christian Women’s Job Corps approaches ministry from a holistic perspective. We are seeking to encourage, educate, and empower each woman in all areas of her life. God uses this ministry to help women from all walks of life to grow in wisdom as they grow closer to Him and the body of Christ.

We know that each of our volunteers is a missionary. God uses them to change the world, one life, or one family at a time. We wanted to share with you one of our recent success stories.

“I am truly blessed in my life! I have been married to my husband for 12 years. A few years ago, our family went through some difficult things. I fell into depression. My self-esteem was ripped away, and I struggled with an addiction to methamphetamine. Our entire family suffered.

With my husband’s encouragement I realized that I needed help. I am happy to say that I am clean and sober 17 months now.

From the first moment of walking through the door at CWJC, good things began happening for me and for my family.

I was hired as a hotel ‘Night Auditor’. A few weeks later, I was offered the same position at a larger and nicer Hotel. I accepted the new job as the wage increase was substantial.

For 12 weeks I have worked from 11pm to 7am. Then I attended classes from 9am to 2pm, Tuesday through Friday. Although the environment at CWJC is stimulating and enjoyable, it hasn’t been easy. But, it has been worth it!

The computer classes have brought me into the 21st century. And have made doing my job easier, as well as helping me understand my kids and grandkids better.
Our Boundaries class has taught me how to set healthy boundaries, and how to respect other people’s boundaries.

I have made peace with my past and I have learned skills for life.

My favorite class of the day, every day has been Bible study. We learned how to study and understand scripture so that we can apply it in our daily lives.
I am excited to continue the study of God’s word. We have had many lively and enlightening conversations in Bible study. We learned Jesus loves us. We learned that we can count on one another. We learned that we can love each other.

I hope to continue working as Night Auditor for the Hotel and to possibly move up in the company as it becomes available. I am going to continue to study the Bible and to apply God’s word in my life.

For me to attend CWJC classes my family had to give up a lot of time with me, but they have been wonderful. Along with my friends who also gave me support and encouragement. So let me say thank you. I couldn’t have done it without you.

My classmates have been a total joy to spend this time with. Thank you ladies.

CWJC has a fantastic system of volunteers. Some work in the administrative positions to organize fundraisers,   secure donations, recruit students, teachers, and other volunteers, plus so much more. The teachers are amazing and I thank you for your patience and dedication.

Each day very special ladies brought in lunch for all of us. The food was amazing! To those ladies, I want to say Bless you and thank you, thank you, thank you!

I have been blessed in many ways through this program. I will treasure my time at CWJC and will carry much of it with me through my daily life. My mentor is terrific.

It has been a very beautiful journey.”
